My name is Tommy Migaki. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in May of 2015, with a degree in Graphic Communication Design, with a focus on motion graphics, and video production.
I've worked in the field of design for more than eight years through
a wide variety of internships and coops in Detroit, Cincinnati and San Francisco. My body of work encompasses the full range of print, interactive and motion graphics.
Having been born and raised in the Detroit suburbs, I’m a rabid Detroit sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. I enjoy music of all kinds, from Nina Simone to the Avett Brothers. I’m an avid distance runner – I’ve run Cincinnati’s Flying Pig half-marathon three times – and an aficionado of bad jokes and puns.
Aside from design, my passion is community service work. I love to volunteer my time to help people, anything from working at a food bank, to cleaning up the city, even to raising money and awareness for kids overseas. it is one day my dream to use my talents and abilities to make the world a better place.
During my college career, I served as president of my fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and led the organization, making great strides in philanthropy, recruitment, and community involvement. I also am a member of Give Back Cincinnati, which is a volunteer organization in the area. Also I am the Creative Director of a small non-profit organization called All We Are, which helps students in Africa with resources such as solar powered lighting, to clean water, to even soccer gear.
